Text Messaging Program

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This page describes Toori's missed-call text messaging program: when you'd receive a text, how you agreed to it, and how to make it stop.

First things first: consent to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase or service. You can always just call. Ignoring or declining texts changes nothing about your ability to reach or do business with anyone.

What the program is

Toori provides an AI receptionist service for small businesses. When you call a business that uses Toori and the call can't be answered, the business may send you one invitation text so your inquiry isn't lost — for example:

"Toori on behalf of Corwin Plumbing: We missed your call. Reply YES to continue by text. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent not required for service."

Every message identifies Toori as the sender, on behalf of the specific business you called. "Corwin Plumbing" is an example client name.

That first text is an invitation, not a conversation. Nothing further is sent unless you reply YES. Reply and the business can text with you about your inquiry; ignore it and that's the end of it — you can always just call back.

How you opt in

The program is triggered only by your own action: placing a phone call to a participating business's published phone number. If the call is missed, you receive one invitation text directly responsive to that call, and a text conversation begins only if you reply YES. Toori's clients do not buy contact lists, and no messages are sent to people who haven't called.

Receiving texts is entirely optional and is not a condition of service. You can ignore the message, reply STOP, or simply call the business back — none of which affects your ability to reach or do business with them in any way.

If you're a Toori subscriber

Separately from the program above, Toori texts its own subscribers — the business owners who use the service — about calls the AI answered for their business: emergency alerts, appointment bookings, and callback requests.

You opt in to these alerts when you create your Toori account and check the SMS consent box; consent is optional and not a condition of using Toori. Message frequency varies with your call volume. The same terms apply: message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help.
